Hop-a-Thon!

Abby's school is participating in the Muscular Dystrophy Hop-a-Thon. Abby is making a special request of her family and friends (on this video). Abby, along with her friends at school, will be hopping for pledges to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She can take flat donations or donations per hop (such as 10 cents per hop). She is practicing her hops for the big day, March 14th. She is so excited and would love your help to make this fundraiser a success!

Getting Acquainted...

Both myself and my sister Hope were pregnant at the same time. Hope delivered just 6 weeks after me. She has a beautiful baby girl named Makayla (in addition to my nephews Ayden and Hunter). Macy and Makayla recently spent some time together. Each was very curious about the other.

Baby Dedication

Today, we had Macy dedicated at church. It was such a sweet occasion and we really appreciated everyone that came to witness our precious baby being dedicated to the Lord. The pastor did such a great job explaining the purpose of baby dedications as well as our responsibility as parents to raise our girls in a way that would honor God.

Macy Speaks!!!

Last Monday, Macy uttered her first word...DaDa. We were so proud and a bit shocked because Macy is currently 5 months old. There is no doubt that she is enamored with her daddy. She lights up every time she sees him or hears her voice. I captured her first word on a video taken with my cell phone. As soon as I figure out how to post it on here, I will.

Dancing Queen

Today, Abby finally got to go to her first dance class. She has been talking about it non-stop since we signed her up two weeks ago. She was more than thrilled as we picked out ballet slippers, tap shoes, a leotard, and tights. She said, "Mommy, I can't wait to make new fancy ballerina friends."
Abby is definately a social butterfly (a wonderful quality that she gets from her daddy) and she was not shy at all when we arrived at the dance school this morning. I think she made a couple new friends before class even started. She will go through six sessions where she will learn and ballet and tap and will then have a dance recital at the end. I can't wait to see what she learns! If she likes dancing, she will then move into a hip hop class. That would definately be a riot to watch. She is such a ham, I'm sure she'll really get into it.
