Father-Daughter Holiday Ball

K.J. took a Abby to a Father-Daughter Holiday Ball. She was so excited that she got to go to her first "real princess ball." She got all dressed up and I curled her hair. At the ball, her and daddy got a professional portrait taken. She was given a corsage to wear. Then they ate dinner in the ballroom. Next they took a professional dance lesson. She was given a silver ring in a "special heart box" to take home. She kept saying she had a great time.

Macy hung all her ornaments on the same branch. The branch eventually gave way and dumped the ornaments on the floor. She did good considering she couldn't reach very high.

Our Favorite Original "Abby" Thoughts

Abby is always making us laugh. Her ever-expanding vocabulary has us asking ourselves, "where did she learn that?" However, our favorites are the words she makes up. She loves to use the word lasterday. We've come to realize that lasterday is any day in the past. She also likes to use the made up words crumaly and fuffaly. Crumaly is an adjective to describe hair that is messy. Fuffaly is when a skirt or dress has too many ruffles.
**I recently tried to explain to Abby how our baby is growing inside my belly. Abby, tyring to make sense of it all as only a two year old can, responded "Mommy you shouldn't eat babies. They're not snacks."
**We got a lot of snow in Erie this year. Abby asks questions constantly and of course wanted to know where the snow comes from. I told her that Jesus made the snow. She looked around the parking lot at all the dirty piles of plowed snow and asked in an exaperated voice "Did Jesus make this mess?"
